It's Memorial Day weekend in Sarasota and there's no place I would rather be than right here on Siesta Key! World Class beaches and warm gulf of Mexico water is just the beginning of what this little Sarasota barrier island has to offer. This Memorial Day weekend you'll find me, many other locals, and vacationers alike enjoying Siesta Key Village for the "Block That Roxx" Pub Crawl starting at 9pm Sunday May 26th.

Having lived in the area for 20 years I know to always book your favorite airbnb, hotel, or resort months in advance! We take our brunching, day drinking, and sun soaking holidays very seriously around here, and you'll want to be front and center for this weekend long event.

This Sunday we will be strolling on down to Brunch at Bonjour French Cafe in the heart of Siesta Key Village. This is my go to place for my favorite savory Crepe (Try the Lobster Buckwheat with a poached egg!), fresh chocolate croissants, and of course a few mimosas. There are many other great Village restaurants offering brunch such as SKOB (One free Mimosa, Bloody Mary, or Screw-Driver while you wait for your food!), and Another Broken Egg Cafe. After thoroughly fueling up on those delicious eats lets take a free ride from The Village over to our famed Siesta Key Beach. Johnnys Original Free Ride will pick you up and take you anywhere on The Key from 10am-2pm Daily. Don't forget to tip your Free Ride driver! The public portion of this beach offers a full menu food and beverage pavilion with a beach shop for all your floaty, beach towel, umbrella, and sunscreen needs. Just show up, grab a Pina Colada Bucket and enjoy a relaxing and carefree afternoon playing in the warm crystal blue Gulf of Mexico water. If you're looking for a little more excitement hit up Siesta Key Bike and Kayak Rentals, Siesta Key Jet Ski, or simply take a walk to the south side of the beach to climb the seawall and discover Point of Rocks! (Wear Shoes)

What do you do after a full day of body surfing, sun bathing, jet skis and playing in the sand? Call up Johnny for your ride back to The Village and partake in "The Block that Roxx" Pub Crawl. 3.14 Pi Craft Beer and Spirits, Daiquiri Deck, Gilligan's Island Bar and Grill, and Siesta Key Oyster Bar will offer $4 specials on Bud Light aluminum bottles all night.
