This graph shows the number of days on the market for all residential listings in Sarasota County Florida from the 3rd quarter of 2013 through the 2nd quarter of 2023.

Each blue line represents the average number for that quarter.
The far right blue line is for the 2nd quarter of 2023.
No one should be surprised to see how properties began selling much faster in 2020 and reached their shortest time in 10 years during the 2nd quarter of 2022.
I believe it is noteworthy that even though the average days on the market had been roughly 70 to 80 days for the 5 years leading up to 2020, homes are currently averaging less than half of that amount of days.
If your home takes 4 to 6 weeks to go under contract, you can consider your sale process to be pretty normal for this market.
